Engineered Polymer Products

Tech-Bond Global's engineered polymer products are formulated to bond a wide range of challenging materials including HDPE, PTFE (Teflon), Delrin (POM), nylon, polypropylene, silicone rubber, metal, composites, and wood. These are substrates traditionally considered difficult or impossible to bond with standard adhesives, and the patented Polymer Bonding Process creates permanent, molecular-level crosslinks on all of them.

The three variants differ in viscosity and application. SI Blue is a standard thin-to-medium viscosity suitable for general-purpose bonding. SI Black is a thicker formula designed for greater control in precision or overhead applications. SI Green is an ultra-thin viscosity specifically engineered for penetrating and repairing hairline cracks where other adhesives cannot reach.

Poly Prep is a fast-acting solvent-based adhesion promoter that etches the surface of low surface energy polymers — such as HDPE, PTFE, nylon, and polypropylene — to create the ideal texture for a strong, permanent bond. It should always be used as a pre-treatment step before applying any bonding agent to difficult polymer substrates, significantly increasing final bond strength.

The Professional Kit is the top-tier option, containing the SI Bonding Agent (in your choice of Blue, Black, or Green), Poly Prep, Activator/Accelerator, Filler, and Debonder — providing complete bonding lifecycle control. For industry-specific needs such as solar, taxidermy, or prep room applications, the Industry Kits offer tailored configurations. Deluxe Kits are also available for technicians requiring a comprehensive repair toolkit.

The Tech Patch Repair System (TPRS) uses PTFE-coated E-glass fabric patches and wraps, available in widths from 2 to 12 inches, to repair damaged or leaking metal pipes, metal tanks, and PVC pipes. It is the only repair system proven to work on HDPE pipe globally, with field validation including a successful repair of a 78-inch HDPE pipe for Borouge in Abu Dhabi.
