Tech-Bond accelerators are compatible with a wide range of difficult-to-bond substrates including PTFE (Teflon), HDPE, Delrin (POM), rubber and silicone, nylon, polypropylene, and metal and composite materials. They are specifically formulated to work within Tech-Bond's patented Polymer Bonding Process for permanent adhesion.

Tech-Bond offers the Activator/Accelerator both as an individual component and as part of complete kits. The standalone product ranges from $9.95 to $367.95 depending on variant and quantity. The Deluxe Kit ($44.95–$77.95) and Professional Kit ($95.95) both include an accelerator alongside the bonding agent, Poly Prep, and filler.

The three variants differ in viscosity and application: SI Blue is a thin-to-medium viscosity standard formula, SI Black is a thick, high-control formula for precision application, and SI Green is ultra-thin — ideal for hairline crack repair where deep penetration is needed. The accelerator works with all three variants.

Tech-Bond recommends storing accelerators and bonding kits in a refrigerator to achieve the longest shelf life. Before use, bring the product to room temperature to ensure optimal viscosity and performance. Proper storage prevents premature curing and maintains the chemical integrity of the activator and bonding agents.

Tech-Bond accelerators and Professional Kits are designed for both field and shop use. No special equipment is required, making them deployable in remote or harsh environments. They have been used in proven field applications including large-scale HDPE pipe repair in Abu Dhabi, as well as mining, energy, and marine settings.

The Professional Kit ($95.95) includes a choice of SI Blue, SI Black, or SI Green bonding agent, Poly Prep surface preparation, Activator/Accelerator, Filler, and a Debonder for clean removal. The Deluxe Kit ($44.95–$77.95) includes the bonding agent, Accelerator, Poly Prep, and Filler, but does not include a Debonder.
