For polymer repair, fabrication, or industrial assembly requiring fast-cure bonding on plastics or composites, these accelerators provide proven, permanent performance.

Tech-Bond accelerating agents are designed for polymer bonding, not concrete curing. For polymer applications, the activator/accelerator dramatically reduces cure time, enabling rapid progression to the next bonding step — often within seconds to minutes depending on the substrate, ambient temperature, and the bonding agent variant (SI Blue, Black, or Green) selected.

Tech-Bond accelerating agents are compatible with a wide range of materials including PTFE (Teflon), HDPE, Delrin/POM, rubber and silicone, nylon, polypropylene, metals, and composites. They are specifically formulated to activate bonding on low surface energy polymers that traditional adhesives cannot bond effectively.

For optimal bond strength on difficult polymers such as PTFE, HDPE, silicone rubber, and nylon, using Poly Prep as a surface preparation step is highly recommended before applying the accelerator. Poly Prep etches the polymer surface to create the right texture, and the accelerator then activates the bonding agent for a permanent, high-strength molecular bond.
