Tech-Bond Poly Kits | Bonding/Repairing what others cannot
Poly Kits give you everything you need to create strong, durable, clean bonds, or repairs on hard-to-bond surfaces such as PTFE, nylon, silicone rubber, HDPE, and polypropylene. Each kit includes our one of our Bonding Agents, SI Blue (100 cP), SI Black (1500 cP). or SI Green (0-5 cP). Bonding Agents are Structural Cyanoacrylates (CA’s), industrial super glues. In addition you will receive a bottle of our Poly Prep, used to prepare polymer surfaces, and our catalyst, the Activator/Accelerator.
SI Blue is our standard viscosity, all purpose Bonding Agent. Slightly thicker than the cyanoacrylates typically purchased in stores. It’s that greater thickness that makes it much easier to use than most over-the-counter products.
The thicker SI Black formula gives you more control, especially when precision matters. Most of our industrial clients use SI Black.
SI Green is our ultra-thin cyanoacrylate and not really recommended for everyday use. Tech-Bond’s SI Green is ideal for wicking and to seal hairline cracks.
Uses
With a Poly Kit, you can bond polymers, plastics, metal, rubber, composites, vinyl, and even porcelain. First, Poly Prep etches polymer surfaces at the molecular level. Then, when combined with a low level of heat, the Accelerator initiates an exothermic chemical reaction that drives the Polymer Bonding Process (Process).
As a result, the bonds are very durable. They resist stress, heat, weathering, moisture, and most chemicals. SI Black also works well on vertical, sloped, or slightly uneven surfaces.
This kit is ideal when you need clean, accurate bonding—whether in the field or in the shop. Poly Kits deliver dependable, lasting performance.
