Kits for Service Locations – Repair Plastic & Metal Tanks On-Site

Permanently repairing plastic tanks on site.

Plastic tanks are widely used in trucks, industrial equipment, agricultural machinery, and fluid storage systems. When these tanks crack or leak, traditional repair methods—such as plastic welding or temporary sealants—often require specialized equipment, downtime, or repeated repairs.

Tech-Bond repair kits are designed specifically for service locations that must repair tanks quickly and reliably on site. Using the Polymer Bonding Process and the Tech Patch Repair System (TPRS), technicians can permanently repair cracked HDPE, polyethylene and other plastic tanks without removing the tank or replacing the equipment.

Mini-Packs Designed for Radiator Shops, Truck Terminals, and Fleet Maintenance Facilities

Service operations frequently encounter damaged plastic tanks in:

  • truck cooling systems
  • heavy equipment reservoirs
  • DEF tanks
  • hydraulic fluid tanks
  • agricultural sprayer tanks
  • water and storage tanks

Tech-Bond kits allow technicians to perform fast, durable repairs directly at the service location, minimizing equipment downtime and avoiding costly tank replacements.

Permanent Repairs for the Most Difficult Plastics

Many plastics used in tanks—such as HDPE, or polyethylene—are notoriously difficult to repair because conventional adhesives do not bond effectively to these materials. Repairing plastic gas tanks is one of the most difficult repairs to make. Tech Patches through Molecular Integration (MI) are bonded onto the tank surface. The PTFE coating on the patch material is impervious or highly resistant to gas and diesel, so failure should not occur because of the impact of gasoline.

The Tech-Bond Molecular Bonding System using our patented Polymer Bonding Process, combined with PTFE-reinforced repair materials, creates a cross-linked or molecular integrated repair structure that bonds to the tank surface and restores the structural integrity of the tank.

The end result of molecular integration:

  • moisture-proof repair
  • fuel- and chemical-resistant bond
  • resistance to vibration and thermal cycling
  • long-term durability in demanding service environments

Structured for On-Site Repairs

TPRS kits are designed for technicians who must work where the equipment is located. The Tech Patch Repair System does not require a lab to effectively generate a repair. Most polymers require a lab to join the surfaces together. The Process for bonding success with any and all polymers wil work in amost any environment

Benefits for service locations include:

  • no tank removal required
  • no plastic welding equipment needed
  • rapid repair completion
  • minimal equipment downtime
  • permanent structural repair

These kits allow service facilities to solve problems immediately rather than scheduling tank replacement or off-site welding repairs.

Ideal for Service Locations Handling Tank Repairs

Tech-Bond repair kits are commonly used in:

  • radiator repair shops
  • truck service centers
  • fleet maintenance facilities
  • agricultural equipment service shops
  • construction equipment maintenance yards
  • industrial service operations

For these businesses, the ability to repair tanks on site and return equipment to service quickly provides a major operational advantage.

Available Kits for Service Locations

Two ways to order – Order individual items on the drop down menu. Items in the kits that you can order are:

Individual items include:

  • Patches – TPRS’s patches and wraps are made from PTFE coated e-glass fabric. this material is the most durable patch material available.
  • Components ot the Kit that molecularly integrates the substrates being bonded.
    • Our catalyst, the Activator/Accerlator – the critical element in Tech-Bond’s performance. – A performance Tool.
    • The Poly Prep – a surface primer for polymers – another critical element. Our second Performance tool.
    • Our Bonding Agent, a monomer, that along with the catalyst, generates cross-linking or molecular integration
  • You choose the size of the patch and the quantity of chemicals needed.

Tech-Bond offers several kit formats designed for service operations, including:

  • Mini-Packs for location who have fewer plastic repair jobs
  • Professional repair kits for locations that provide high volume tank repairs
  • High-volume shop kits for service centers handling multiple repairs

Each kit includes the materials required to complete multiple permanent repairs on plastic tanks and other components.
