Engineering Problem(s) Review – from a Different Perspective.

How Tech‑Bond Handles Engineering Problems

Not every engineering problem can be solved with a single, off-the-shelf product. Tech‑Bond begins by examining the complete application: the substrate, type and extent of damage, pressure, temperature, vibration, chemical exposure, abrasion, moisture, accessibility and consequences of failure. Understanding these conditions allows us to address the actual problem instead of simply placing a product over the damage.

This is where Intelligent Interface Engineering (IIE™) becomes critical. IIE evaluates the interface and identifies how Tech‑Bond’s technologies and product features can be combined into an integrated solution. The Polymer Bonding Process, Molecular Integration, Tech Patches, Tech Wraps, Poly Fill™, Silica Fill, Poly Shield™ and engineered layering can each contribute a different capability to the completed repair.

Combining these features can generate success even in difficult environments. One component may provide chemical resistance, another may distribute mechanical loads, another may increase strength and durability, and the Polymer Bonding Process can permanently integrate the repair with the substrate. Working together, these elements can produce a solution that no single product or conventional repair method could achieve independently.

Through the Engineering Problem Review, Tech‑Bond evaluates the operating conditions and determines whether an existing solution applies or whether IIE should be used to engineer a new one. The objective is not merely to cover the problem—it is to develop a durable, integrated solution appropriate for the real-world environment.

Engineering Problems – hard to solve issues that we approach with a different perspecctive.

Not every engineering problem can be solved with an off-the-shelf product. Difficult materials, unusual configurations, harsh operating environments, recurring failures, and repair-versus-replacement decisions often require a closer engineering review. Tell us about the substrate, damage, operating conditions, pressure, temperature, chemical exposure, accessibility, and the performance the completed repair must achieve.

Tech-Bond will review the information through the combined capabilities of the Polymer Bonding Process, the Tech-Patch Repair System (TPRS™), and Intelligent Interface Engineering (IIE™). Photographs, drawings, specifications, and other supporting files are strongly encouraged. If the information is proprietary or sensitive, please indicate that in the form so an NDA can be discussed before detailed technical information is exchanged.

Upload clear photographs, drawings, or specifications that will help us understand the materials, damage, geometry, and operating conditions involved. You may upload up to five files, with a maximum size of 10 MB each. Please do not upload confidential, proprietary, or trade-secret information until an appropriate NDA has been fully executed. Nonconfidential photographs, drawings, and specifications may be uploaded to help us conduct our initial review.

From Enginering Problems to Engineering Solutions

A Way Forward

Whether your challenge involves bonding materials that conventional adhesives cannot reliably join or permanently repairing damaged polymer or metal pipes, tanks, and components, Tech-Bond may be able to engineer a solution. The patented Polymer Bonding Process creates Molecular Integration™ across properly prepared interfaces, while the Tech-Patch Repair System (TPRS™) applies that bonding capability through engineered Tech Patches and Tech Wraps. Complete the Engineering Problem Review form above and describe the materials, damage or bonding requirement, operating environment, and required performance. We will evaluate the challenge using the Polymer Bonding Process, TPRS™, and Intelligent Interface Engineering.
